How is the job market these days in and around Tulsa and Broken Arrow?  I know at some times companies leaving the area have been a problem.

Hi Joan - The job market here remains pretty steady.  I have been her since 1996 and Broken Arrow has really grown with development and revitalization.

Kelly,  Good post about your community and area.  Nice to hear that the community has a commitment to it's trees and has been recognized for that.

After the devastating Ice Storm we had in December we lost alot of trees.  Some of these were over hundreds of years old.  I had a beautiful Redbud Tree (Oklahoma State Tree) that was over 100years old and it is gone!  My next blog will be on the Ice Storm! Thanks for the comments

My Parents, and brother and his family live in Broken Arrow in Forest Ridge.  That storm really changed the whole landscape of that area.  It really was devastating!  I couldn't believe how full the parks were where they were dumping the trees.

Hi Cindy - They still have most of those dump sites open.  I knew the city would help the residents during this time.  Thanks for the view!

Kelly, being originally from Kansas I thought I was familiar with most of Oklahoma but I am not familiar with Broken Arrow.  It sounds like a very nice place to live. How far from the big cities?  Is it close to Tulsa?

Hi Marchel - We are 15 minutes from downtown Tulsa.  Broken Arrow is located just SouthEast of Tulsa.  We are also 30 minutes from Muskogee and about 3.5 hours to the Texas/Oklahoma line on Hwy 75..  Thanks for the comment
