Welcome to Main Street Broken Arrow Oklahoma! From the time Broken Arrow became a town in 1903 until the mid 1960's the population remained fairly constant. However when the Broken Arrow Expressway opened in the mid 1960's everything changed!
Despite a growing population, the quality of public safety in Broken Arrow never changed. Broken Arrow rated the stste of Oklahoma's Safest City in 2004 and #46 in the nation, based on major crime reports in cities of 75,000 or more. In 2006 Broken Arrow again earned the rating of Oklahoma's Safest City and was ranked 20th in the nation. The latest survey in 2007 recognized Broken Arrow, Oklahoma as the 22nd safest city in the nation.
Broken Arrow is one of only 2 cities in Oklahoma to be named on the list of "AMERICA'S MOST LIVEABLE SMALL CITIES!" Broken Arrow has also been honored as a "TREE CITY USA" every year since 2001 by the National Arbor Day Foundation for our committment to trees - not only in our parks but the community as a whole.
