Google+ Where’s The Private Message Button
I looked in vain for a way to message someone in Google+. I didn’t see a button anywhere like in Facebook; so I did a Google search “how do I private message someone in Google+”
This is what I got. I tried it and it works. I made a couple of adjustments to this because some of the steps were out of date (early Google+).
Here are the steps…
- Click on the Google+ logo or the Home tab
- Type your message in the share what’s new text-box
- Click on the Add circle or people to share with link and type in the persons name who you want to private message
- Once it identifies the person, it’ll turn into a blue box/tab which means that person is identified If they are not within your circles, nothing will happen.
-
Before you click Share. Make sure you unclick the other tabs that you usually use: like the ActiveRain tab above. When the only tab(s) showing are the person/people you wish to message; then click share.
- Your message has been shared with your friend and only with your friend. With this method, you not only send private messages, you can send links, videos, photos, locations, etc.
I know most of you ActiveRainers are smart and probably know all this already, but just in case there are a few like me-struggling still........
