The number of Franklin County, Ohio homes sold in December 2012 was up only 0.7% from a year ago. The number of homes for sale in Franklin County is down like most of central Ohio. The number of single family resale homes for sale in the area is down 23.8% from December 2011.
Franklin County real estate did not fare as well as other central Ohio counties in December 2012. The number of homes sold in the larger area served by the Columbus Board of REALTORS mls (multiple listing service) was up 10.2% in December. The Columbus Board of REALTORS mls serves all of Franklin, Delaware, Fayette, Licking, Madison, Morrow, Pickaway and Union Counties and parts of Athens, Champaign, Clark, Clinton, Fairfield, Hocking, Knox, Logan, Marion, Muskingum, Perry and Ross Counties. I focus on northern Franklin County and southern Delaware County.
