Today's Menu Monday comes from Tropical Delight. Located at 172 S. 4th Avenue, offering salads, subs, milkshakes, juices, raspados, churros locos, soups and smoothies. My favorite is the tuna salad sandwhich combo, on wheat bread which comes with a soup of the day, and your choice of drink. The tuna salad is made fresh, with purple onion, celery, mayo and a nice avacado wedge throughout the sandwh...ich. Then, I request light jalapeno to the sandwhich and have the bread toasted. My GOD, this is a great sandwhich combo. When you take a bite, the avacado wedge does a fascinating job marrying the flavors together within each bite, then the jalapeno's slap you in the face, reminding you that this is a bold sandwhich full of both American / Mexican flavors. The soups are different each day, and with this combo I had the sopa de fideo (beef stew). Equally as flavorful, the sopa de fideo is loaded with shreeded beef chunks, slices of corn on the cob and carrots. Lastly, I had a lemonade with my meal, freshly squeezed and far from tart, and sweet enough for a refreshing thirst quench to enjoy your meal.
