Denver residents and Broncos fans will continue their 2013 NFL postseason support by rockin' with Mayor Michael Hancock's official "United In Orange Friday" declaration. In case you missed my last blog regarding whether or not we'd say good-bye to the 2012 Pantone color of the year: Tangerine Tango... there'll be no worries my dear friends!
This upcoming Friday, Denver Broncos fans are asked to wear orange in support of the first postseason football game being played here on Saturday, 2:30pm MST.
Naturally, Mother Nature wants to make her presence felt and is adding a twist of her own. With a slight wave of her hand across Colorado, she'll be lowering the winter temperature down below freezing! (OMG Cold!!) Sports Authority at Mile High Stadium will be filled with over 76,000 attendees and I'm certain the fans from both teams will be jumping up and down cheering as their team competes to win (while trying to keep their blood warm and in circulation)! Yah, game-time is gonna be Brrrr...FREEZING!!
For those of you who wish to continue the day with showing your team spirit, there will be a FREE, grand-style pep-rally on Friday, January 11, 2013 from 5:00pm-8:00pm. The location is at the south end of the stadium, on the Sports Legends Mall. Make some time to stop by, bring your friends/family and join in the fun! (Why not? You'll already be dressed for it!)
The Baltimore Ravens are likely still stinging from the stunning loss against the Broncos only a few weeks ago. This rematch brings even more thrilling excitement to the first play-off game, not to mention on our home turf! I've heard from a good inside source, Denver Broncos have the wagons loaded and are ready to go!! We'll be BRINGING IT TO WIN sports fans!!
As the anticipation continues to swell within our proud 5280 city, here are a few thoughts to keep in mind:
- For those fans who will be attending the game in person, please remember what your mother always told you: Dress warmly so you won't catch a cold!
- If you are planning to watch the game by hanging out at your local sports bar, do arrive there extra-early to grab a primo seat!
- Everyone else will be feeling toasty warm as they watch the game from their homes, complete with a nearby fridge stocked with plenty of adult beverages and football food to feast on!
Lastly and most important of all...
LET'S DRESS UNITED IN ORANGE THIS FRIDAY AND FOR GOOD MEASURE, ALL WEEKEND LONG!!
With Kindest Regards and Best of Luck to the Denver Broncos in their Super Bowl quest!!
