I Think This is My First Post to Reach 10,000 views.

 

I have heard a few people talk about posts that have reached 10,000 views here before, but never had one of my own. I have a few more that are closing in on that mark and I have noticed that there are some things that help lead to these number.

  • This post was a part of a contest, the clicks and views can really get a jump start.
  • The content and topic is being searched, the information is something that is helpful.
  • Getting Featured goes a long way in getting viewed and clicked.
  • It helps is the posts get reblogged
  • Posting to social sites can add traffic by sharing with people with similar interests
  • I may involve some luck too. The numbers keep growing daily, something must be working.

That's good news Tom.  However, views don't matter.  It's CLICKS that count as those people viewed the post.  Nonetheless, 2,600 is great and particularly noteworthy given that it was only written about a month ago.
