Our local Sawgrass Publix is finally closing for a major remodel. This location, near to the famous Sawgrass TPC is well supported by the local area, which means all those shoppers will have to find an alternate grocery store for the next 18 months.
There are several other Publix stores in the area:
- CR 210 at the roundabout
- Marsh Landing store in Jacksonville Beach
- Beach Boulevard at 4th Street
There is also a Fresh Market in the area, at 80 A1A North in Ponte Vedra Beach as an another option.
Winn Dixie has a store at A1A & Solana as well, for yet another option.
I have never had to "relocate" my shopping due to a grocery store renovation, so I can only imagine how out of sorts these shoppers will be, as well as how busy the other stores will be during this time. Be patient, the news Publix will be 12,000 SF bigger, and have more options!
