I just wanted to share and make sure you are aware of the recent announcements/changes with the Veterans Administration and their VA Portal -
The VA Portal is closed and is being redesigned for security purposes. The new portal which will be called VIP (Veterans Information Portal), they are hoping will be up and running in a couple of weeks (they seemed to stress the word hopefully).
So, there is no access for the ACE system to order Cert of Eligibility or the weblgy to order appraisals. What does this mean to all of us? VA appraisals and requests for the Veterans Certificate of Eligibility (COE) will take longer to get from VA for the next 3-4 weeks.
We hope VA will have their new portal completed in January but wanted to make everyone aware, if you have a upcoming closing with VA financing there might be an impact.
