Looking Up Website Source Code On Safari

If anyone is having trouble viewing the source code to websites after your update to Mountain Lion it is not that you have lost your mind. Apple for some reason has chosen to hide the tool to view the source code to a website in the new OS system Moutain Lion. I can not get a good anwser from anyone at Apple why but I will outline how to change your settings so you can do this and use many other tools that are now hidden.

First open Safari and click on Safari in the tool bar, go to prefrences and then look all the way to the right and click advanced, go to the bottom and click show development menue in menue bar and close out this window. Now simply go to the development tab in the tool bar in Safari and click on show page source and you have the source code to the website you needed to check out. You will also see many other tools you can now access from this tab. The shortcut remans the same which is option/alt, command, U and it will open for you. One difference you will notice is it is set as a quarter page view but you can easily change that. Maybe this will help some of you.

I hate when apple and Microsoft change things you use all the time. Thanks for the tip.

Wow!  Hiding the Source Code is a dramatic change, and not a good idea IMHO.

   Thanks for providing a work-around!
