Here in our part of Florida we have a unique annual event known as Dade City's Annual Kumquat Festival. This popular event is well-attended by residents and "snowbirds" alike. This year it will take place on Saturday, January 26th from 9 AM to 5 PM. Some of the offered activities are:
- Over 400 vendors
- Live music
- Face painting
- Shop for local arts and craft items
- 10K and 5K walks
- Arts and Crafts show
- A beauty contest
- Lots of kumquat flavored foods and other tasty items.
- And lots, lots, more.
