One of my favorite escapes from my work-a-day world is to stop over at TedTalks. This platform is FILLED with inspiration and laughter at times, on many topics and many levels. They are all only a few minutes in length.
Today, I looked at some of the titles and picked one out about fathers and daughters dancing in prison.
What this message said to me, ultimately is that there are no bars to keep us from doing what we want to do. Whether it be starting a nonprofit organization, changing lives or walking into a prison with 18 young girls who came to dance with their dads. "You never know, unless you ask",was one of the quotes from this lovely video about what you can accomplish!
Please enjoy this! (Get your tissues ready). Angela Patton delivers. Her non-profit organization is called Camp Diva, a summer camp where girls, ages 11 to 17, could be safe and instill in them principles that would prepare them for a healthy womanhood, named after her friend's daughter, Diva who died at the age of five through a firearm accident.
