Poag & McEwen Lifestyle Centers announced on Nov. 14 that Bonefish Grill will open their first Connecticut location at The Promenade Shops at Evergreen Walk in South Windsor.
Scheduled to open in spring 2013, the 6,400-square-foot restaurant will open next to GapKids in the former Atlanta Bread and Lady Foot Locker locations.
Recently named “Top Overall Restaurant,” “Best Seafood,” “Top Rated Food,” “Top Healthy Options” and “Top Rated Facilities” category winner of ZAGAT’s 2011 National Chain Restaurant Survey and “Best Seafood Restaurant in the Nation” by a leading consumer product guide, Bonefish Grill currently has 174 locations in 29 states and prides itself on the local feel of each restaurant.
“We are delighted Bonefish Grill is making their Connecticut debut at The Promenade Shops at Evergreen Walk,” said Josh Poag, president and chief executive officer of Poag & McEwen Lifestyle Centers. “Bonefish Grill along with the recent announcement of The Limited and the opening of Sephora and Pinkberry this year further defines The Promenade Shops at Evergreen Walk as the area’s premier shopping and dining destination.”
Founded in St. Petersburg, FL in January 2000 by Tim Curci and Chris Parker, two veteran restaurateurs, the Bonefish Grill experience blends simplicity, quality and consistency in food, service, ambiance and value. As the “Fresh Fish Experts,” Bonefish Grill specializes in market-fresh fish and other wood-grilled specialties which feature only the highest-quality, freshest ingredients, with traditional and unique varieties of fish and seafood as well as numerous non-seafood items including a stellar selection of fine choices of hand-cut beef, pasta and chicken dishes as well as gluten free menu items.
Complementing their desire to appeal to the high quality seafood craver on the premises of simplicity and consistency is Bonefish Grill’s unique interior design. The restaurant features a spacious dining room with an open kitchen and a large, energetic, “big-city” bar that offers bar fresh cocktails and an affordable, interesting wine list. The interior’s sleek design also features beautiful hardwood and amber lamps. Attractive three-dimensional art is added to enhance the overall ambiance.
