The 2012 least expensive home was a 719 sq.ft. 2 bedroom ranch-style home in the Wellington area, sold in "as-is" condition for $48,000. It was on the market for 70 days.


Largest Home

Weighing in at a massive 14,604 sq.ft., with 14,249 sq.ft. finished, this 35 acre equestrian lot home with 5 bedrooms, 9 baths, a home theatre, a wine cellar, 1000 ft. of lake frontage, a 1500 sq.ft. garage and great views sold for an incredible $525,000. It was originally listed in 2007 for $3,200,000, but suffered serious fire damage in 2009, and finally sold in "as-is" condition in 2012.


Smallest Home

Dick  I think it is amusing people have no idea water is worth more than the land.  $100,000 for the house, $400,000 for the land and $1,350,000 for the water!  Great blog!

Out of curiosity, how much land did the second home have?  I'm sensing that land has a lot to do with prices in Fort Collins.

Hi Chris Ann - It actually had a decent-sized lot at 9267 sq.ft., but you're right that lot size is a pretty big factor in pricing.
