Louisville Home Buyers and Sellers – You are NOT “bothering” us by calling us

Louisville Real Estate I have heard more than one conversation recently about buyers and sellers calling their real estate agents making a statement that begins with, “I hate to bother you, but…”

Why would you think that you are bothering us? We are in the business of real estate. This means that we get paid to help you, whether you pay the commission (as sellers do) or not (buyers normally do not). Our job is help you not only to purchase homes for sale in Louisville, but to help you understand the steps that are necessary to complete the purchase.

I have been in real estate long enough to know that  a home purchase is rarely simple. First of all, most people will need approval from a lender, and many of them will need a little help straightening their credit out. While our agents do not provide these services, they are required to have knowledge of the different types of loans, so they give you choices of which lenders and credit specialists to refer you to.

Then there are other services that typically are required in the transaction, such as home inspection, appraisals, clearing titles, etc. Some of these are chosen by the lender and some of them will be chosen by you. We have enough experience in the industry that we know the difference between which Louisville companies that could possibly hinder a transaction and those that work to make it a win-win transaction for everyone. Again, if you need help in the form of recommendations, we will provide you with at least two choices and more if possible so that you can make the most informed decisions.

There are so many facets to a real estate purchase, why would we not want to explain it to you in a way that you will understand? The way our team works is we have a full-time marketing person (me) and a transaction coordinator that handles many of the contract to closing details, thus freeing up the agents to spend more time with clients. This is not a bother, this is welcome.

Hello Jerry and Michael, thanks to you both for commenting. Being on the buyer's side a long time ago, I felt that way towards my agent. That is why I love our team, because we are so NOT like that. It's all about the buyer (or seller), not us.
