Coral Cove Sarasota

Just 1 mile from the bridge that will take you to a day on the world-famous Siesta Key beach, you’ll find a gem of a neighborhood known as Coral Cove. A well-established community, Coral Cove Sarasota is filled with unique homes, many having seen recent renovations or completely reconstructed.  With its own waterfront park, day dock and boat ramp, it is not uncommon for neighbors to head out for a day on the water or to gather at the park to celebrate a birthday.

The neighborhood exudes a tropical charm, with winding streets, tropical landscaping, mature oaks, and well-maintained homes.  Its proximity to the beaches, to shopping, entertainment and dining, and the easy commute to downtown make this a favorite location for those who enjoy being near it all.  You’ll find families and retirees here, as well as business owners and professionals.  As a coveted “west of the trail” bay-front neighborhood, Coral Cove’s approximately 200 homes include everything from waterfront estate homes to canal-front homes with dock-age, and beautifully maintained or restored interior homes. And residents here enjoy being district-ed to excellent schools, including Riverview High School, known for its International Baccalaureate program.

Shopping, dining, and entertainment options abound here.  Just about 2 miles to the south, the Sarasota Square Mall offers almost 100 retail stores, along with numerous dining options, both on and just off the campus. To the north, downtown Sarasota, about 15 minutes drive, offers chic, locally owned casual and fine dining options.  Enjoy dinner al fresco in one of the downtown establishments, and then head out for a show at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Center, the Sarasota Opera House, or the Florida Studio Theater.  Or come earlier in the day to enjoy one of Sarasota’s many festivals, such as the annual Film Festival, or the popular street chalk festival in the spring.  Every Saturday, you’ll find a thriving and bustling farmer’s market in the downtown streets.

If getting away from it all is more to your liking, Coral Cove offers plenty of opportunities.  Hop in your boat or Jet Ski for a day on the bay or gulf waters.  Or put in a kayak, canoe, or paddle-board for something a little more tranquil.  Sarasota is also a big cycling town, so you might also consider heading over to the Legacy Trail, just a few miles to the east.  The 15-mile trail, dedicated to cyclists and pedestrians, spans from south Sarasota all the way to downtown Venice, offering a perfect afternoon of outdoor fun.

With Coral Cove’s proximity to the water and its strong sense of community, you will find that homes here are a worthy and lasting investment. See for yourself why this tranquil area offers you a great place both to retreat and to launch out to enjoy the best of Sarasota.
