There is something about old historical pictures that catapult us back to different times.  The photo taken after the snow ball fight, looks more like they were playing Ice Hockey than anything:-)

Michael -- that first photo is great!   For those who don't know, "Contestants, who danced in pairs, were required to remain in motion (picking up one foot, then the other) 45 minutes each hour, around the clock"  The dance marathons started in the 1920's and lasted into the '30's, though by then many cities and towns were banning them.  The only one ever held in Seattle city limits ended at 19 days, but it was not uncommon for them to last 1,000+ hours (40+ days).

Hi Michael,

I love these old photos and what a piece of history...all of them but the last two are very important to our government. MLK was a great man and it is too bad he was shot. He did a lot of good and if he had lived, he would have done a lot more.
