The House should NOT feel like a FREEZER!
It has been pretty cold here off and on. But, when you know there is going to be a showing or an open house, crank up the heat.
People are going to be taking off their shoes, and here in Minnesota, that can mean cold floors which isn't conducive to visiting for long.
Thank Joan for a great post.
The House should NOT feel like a FREEZER!
I showed a home a couple days ago that was colder on the inside, than it was outside! It was a short sale. I know the payments are not being made, but PLEASE keep the heat on in the house to snag a buyer!
Had it been at least comfortable in there, she would have written on it! It had to be under 50 degrees in that home! She felt like a popsicle!
PLEASE, Mr. & Mrs. Seller, the better you can make your house feel, the faster it will SELL! Keeping the heat comfortable just for 45-90 days would not cost more than an extra $100.
If a buyer has a few homes to choose from, they will select the one they can stay in and feel "the warm & fuzzies" to make an offer on. If it is too cold in the house, the buyers will be ---- frozen history!
Having a FREEZING house will send potential buyers running for their car, and HEAT!
