I remember buying my first Portland, Oregon home in Mount Tabor by looking through a big book of data with black and white pictures. I can still remember the cheap newsprint and smell of the real estate listing books. My agent, with whom I remained faithful to until she retired, would hand me the book and say “this is what’s for sale.” There was no internet, no Facebook, no smart phones, no tablets, no websites and shockingly enough, it wasn’t THAT long ago. Real estate marketing has come a long way. Agents better know the value of great pictures and modern, internet-based marketing plans. I love this article because it speaks to tricks of the trade that most agents are unaware of. Be sure your agent is internet savvy and doing everything “modernly possible” to get your home sold or find you the prefect home to buy.
