I have the privilege and honor this year of heading the Culture Committee for the Agent Leadership Council "ALC" in our Keller Williams Ridgewood Market Center. We are planning a host of exciting events this year including Oscar Night, Karaoke Night, International Day, our wonderful RED Day (where we close our Market Center and all the Keller Williams offices and we spend the entire day helping others), as well as many other smaller events planned. But the pies de resistance this year will be Jeff Feagles and I, along with the other members of our committee including Kathy Fernandes, Darryl Dator, Wendy Silber, Kelly Webber, Aldo Lavorini, Ray Freedman, Jess Palmieri and a few others, teaming up to host the first of what we hope to be an annual golf outing which will take place sometime in early October. This should be a fabulous event and we hope to see some New York Giants there, as well as many others from our community who have already expressed interest. This is going to be an incredible year for our Ridgewood Market Center in terms of growth (with our new Pascack Valley office opening), sales and volume, but what I love the most about Keller Williams is their focus on giving back to the agents and to the community. Not only do we have incredible profit share opportunities and capping ability (after paying the office just $37,000) but Keller Williams gives back to community at every turn. All of our fund raisers are to raise money for KW Cares, which is a public charity created to support Keller Williams Realty associates and their families with hardship as a result of a sudden emergency. We saw the charity in action during Hurricane Sandy, when many of our associates were assisted in many ways including the distribution of generators to everyone who needed one. In addition, Keller Williams focuses on teaching you how to run a successful real estate business so that you are better equipped to help your clients. You have free access to an amazing video library where there are blueprints for anything and everything you may need to be successful. We also learn from some of the best agents in our industry because everyone is so willing to share their knowledge and help each other. It's an amazing model and contrary to what I originally thought before I came on board, I spend so much less of my own money here than I ever did in my old company (by a lot). This company teaches you how to tap into the myriad of free resources available to grow your business into an amazing success. I'm reading the "Millionare Real Estate Agent" for the second time and am incredibly excited to see what's next and for the first time see Real Estate as a successful business instead of just selling homes. Our Family Reunion is February 16 to the 20th and am so excited to be a part of this wonderful event on Keller Williams' 30th Anniversay. It's going to be an incredible Bash!!
