Villages at South Hill Underway

The developer and builder for the Villages at South Hill, Highridge Development LLC, picked up their first building permit on Friday. The Villages will be located just off 39th Ave SE, east of Shaw Rd near Sunrise Elementary School. The permit is for Lot #8, which is going to be their model home. They expect to start the construction, pouring the foundation this week. Check out the Villages at South Hill final plat.

Highridge Development hopes to make it onto the February 4th City Council Agenda to approve and finalize the plat so that they can move forward with building new homes. Prior to issuing more than 30 building permits for new homes, they will be required to construct a new signal at 39th Ave SE & Wildwood Park Drive.

The Villages at South Hill will be a mixed-use community according to the City of Puyallup Development Services Department.

• Single-family Homes – 75 detached single-family homes located along the exterior perimeter of the site. They are front loaded units served by public streets. The lots will be at least 6,000 sqft. in size.
• Senior Living - Proposed 98 (1-1.5 story, age-restricted) senior condominiums with private drives (the number of units may be slightly less after further site planning). This portion of the development will be located within the northern interior of the site.
• Detached Condos – 68 units located within the southern interior of the site would be small-lot “cottage” units. While clustered, these are detached units, which will be 2-3 stories in height and will have rear alley access.
