The 1st Snow of the Year ... with More to Follow on Friday ... from Ocean City, New Jersey

We had a busy day at the Keller Williams Realty office on Monday ... Martin Luther King Holiday brought some rental tenants down to the shore to check out rental properties.  Plus a good many phone calls for the same kind of thing all day long.  So it was certainly a busy work day.  Overall, one could feel the weather getting colder, and the wind chill was going down.

So I got home just after 5pm yesterday to a warm fire in the living room fireplace, and I didn't go out of the house again that evening.  About 8:30 a loud clap of thunder hit our area ... only one shot.  I looked outside, and it was beginning to snow at a very fast and windy pace.  It only did enough to cover the ground and the automobiles ... didn't lay on the sidewalks.  But it was an exciting start to the snowy part of the winter weather ... and we often go a number of years before we get a really major snow fall.  Not last night, that was for sure.

But the local weather report this morning brought us 20 degree days all week and a wind chill of 8-10 degrees ... so something is happening out there with the weather.  The second part of the report said that we can not predict how much snow we might get on Friday.  Well, my wife and I have a dinner party for six with two of them coming back from the South for a few days.  So we will be making preparations for everything from a clear path to the door along with a good fire in the fireplace, and maybe even a stay-over if necessary.  That's the Jersey Shore hospitality coming through!!!
