In August 2010 Foothills Animal Shelter opened at its new facility with 33,000 square feet, the new facility is around three times the size of the old building. Which allows the shelter to improve the space in which animals are housed, and improves the services provided to the community. It also has a new medical suite where they can provide more on-site, cost effective care. Which in turn has provided more spay/neuters for animals.
Foothills Animal Shelter’s mission is to provide the best care possible for every animal that comes to them. C.A.R.E, Community, Adopt, Reunite and Educate and what that stands for and are the four key principals of the Foothills Animal Shelter.
