Hey, Hey! I Made It To #1!

My Active Rain journey has been somewhat slower than it seems for a lot of other folks. I just have not been able to get myself into the routine of blogging every day (or even every week for that matter). I go in spurts. Lately I've been in a "Mission In Action" spurt.

However, I do have a success story coming up which I am excited to share, but will do so when it is all said and done.

AND, today I finally met my 2nd goal with regard to points. My first was to reach 200,000 (saves me $120/year!)....of course still waiting to get to that golden 500,000 and then platinum 1 Million. But, today I became Number One. In My county and city that is. I have been chasing another Active Rainer who isn't even currently a Rainmaker and hasn't posted in I think two years. But, he was just so far ahead of me that it seemed hard to reach. Finally today I noticed that I've done it!

I now rank:

#7 in my state of Idaho (not too shabby)

#1 in my county of Ada

#1 in my city of Boise

And I'm excited about that! Now, onward.

Congratulations. Keep it up and you can aim for number one in the State. It's not supposed to be about points(so I am told OFTEN), but leading the pack is always nice

Honestly, I think part of it IS about points. I think that people do look to see high far up you are in the AR totem pole for referring if they don't have a specific relationship with someone in the area. Plus, the points help the pocket as far as monthly AR costs AND they are a benchmark to help show if you are using AR proactively and productively. So, I'd disagree with those people that are telling you it's not supposed to be about the points. If they weren't worth something AR wouldn't be on a point system at all. My two cents Ellie :-)

Thanks Chris Ann! It's also kind of clear that not many people are active on AR in my area, if I can be #1 at only 222,000 points. But, I won't complain!
