Is Spring always the best time to sell your Schaumburg home?
There are always many variables that make up a successful Schaumburg closing. People are often told or have heard in the past that the spring market is always the best time to
sell.
But is it really?
Let's look at an important chart that gives you when buyers have decided to jump in the market to purchase a home. Is it really when you think?
Many important factors can play out here including interest rate increases, time of year, snow fall, school starting and other personal variables. Since we have been blessed with steady and low interest rates, that's not one of the factors. We do usually see sales activity increase when a rate increase is anticipated.
So if you were a seller that owned a Schaumburg townhome, condo or quad, the most active time to sell your house would have been in September and October. The supposed spring marketing time really doesn't play out for those owners.
Now for Schaumburg homeowners the most active time in the market was for May closings. So for those owning a single family home, it would be possibly better for selling in the earlier part of the year. But then again, October was not exactly slow either.
Not exactly what you expected was it?
