Spring Thaw in January...Cedaredge, CO Temperatures Soar

The snow melts and turns to ice behind the office. You could skate on this stuff. Now with the warm temps, the ice is melting and water is threatening to come in the back door. Thankfully I have some strong backs to help take care of the situation. You see Broker Owner, Perry Hotz, and Broker Associate, Austin Keiser, hard at work to remove the ice. One of these days, the guys are going to get smart and just plow the area behind the office.

I was there for moral support and to take a few pictures.

Happy Tuesday, Everyone.

Hi, John...I wasn't laughing. Actually earlier I was out there with a shovel, too, breaking up ice and creating a channel for the water to flow away from the building.

Hi, Dawn...you're right. 40 is warm for us, but cold for you.

Hi, Praful...I feel for you. We were there for the first couple of weeks this year. That's cold. Think spring!!!

Hi, Jean...I'll enjoy this weather while we have it, but we really need some snow. This summer's water supply for irrigation depends on it.

Hi, Beth...thanks for stopping by. I'm sorry you guys are so cold. I hope the weather warms up for you soon.

Debbie the best part about a thaw out west is in 5-7 days we will have you weather. Today I woke up and it is 4 degees. the coldest weather in 4 years they say. up north in the mountains it was -25. even right at the beach/seacoast it was 7 where the ocean usually moderates the cold air, but not today. Enjoy the spring thaw and I hope some of my friends down south can send some warmth to the northeast. Congrats on your feature.

Debbie, we're in an opposite situation here in Virginia. The temperature was 13 degrees this morning. It's getting warmer though. Right now it is 19 degrees.

You are so right on, Richie. There's all kinds of snow. The snow and ice in the picture is the kind of snow that sends you bent over and moving slow to your chiropractor.

When I lived in Vermont and had a mail-order business that I ran from home, I put down a "sidewalk" of black rubber stall mats so ice would melt quickly and there'd be better footing for the Fedex, UPS and USPS drivers.

Hi, Leslie...I bet that worked great to get the ice warmed up and melting. Unfortunately our area is on the north side and not much of it sees sunlight in the winter.

Hi, Richie...use it with my blessing.

Hi, Fernando...LOL. I did actually have a shovel in hand earlier in the day, but these good old boys wouldn't let a woman do the work. So I stayed around to supervise and for moral support.

Hi, Steve...we sent the cold away and probably your way. Now hopefully you will get some of our warmer weather, too.

Debbie, funny photo, and glad you were there to supervise!     This time of year, as the snow melts and evening temps dip, there shall be ice!

Hi, Jeanne...we might be getting some more snow over the weekend, so the guys will probably have their work cut out for them the rest of the season.

Hi, Joan...I'm a great supervisor and great moral supporter.
