Some residents are concerned about the following:
Potential affect on property values
Traffic congestion (as it’s a drive through)
Safety of children crossing from Hyde Middle School across the street.
Health (obesity) for those same children.
Litter that comes with drive-thru fast-food establishments.
Greasy odor pervading the neighborhood.
Negative impact on the established restaurants in the shopping center.
Aesthetics - a drive-thru is inappropriate for a residential neighborhood.
Added pollution from cars idling in drive-thru.
Noise - the drive-thru will operate from 6am to 10pm, 7 days/week.
The Planning Dept. hearing is at 6:30 pm Wed. Jan 23rd at the San Jose City Hall in "Chambers 1"
