Charlotte, NC:
My 2 golden retrievers, who lead a charmed life by the way, get bored running in our 1/2 acre backyard. So today I took them with me today to preview a few houses for sale in close in Charlotte neighborhoods. They got to ride in the car…always exciting… and run in the park and the creek behind the Mint Museum. Just so you know, this is not an official dog park but so many people take their dogs there that the city put some doggie bag containers out so people could follow up after their dogs deposits. Located in the beautiful Eastover neighborhood this is something of an inside secret. It is not fenced but bordered on 2 sides by a deep ravine with a creek at the bottom, the neighbors fence on the other side and the street where most people park on the other side. It is probably 5 football fields long. So if you dog isn’t the kind to run away this could be a nice outing for a day.
But there other more official dog parks in town that you find more secure, especially if your dogs like to play with other dogs. Check it out.
