What Kind of real estate market is Barrie in for in 2013?
I hosted open-houses each weekend so far in 2013. Mid winter open-houses in Barrie, for those determined enough to host them, typically provide the solitude for a Realtor to catch up on some paperwork or get in some reading. I have set up my signs in the middle of winter whiteouts recently fully expecting the next two hours were going to be a snore. Not so far this year.
Instead I find myself literally on my feet talking with visitors the whole time. Much of that time I am juggling conversations between multiple sets of visitors as they work their way through the openhouses. I talked with a few other agents who tell me they were being kept just as busy with the open-houses they have been doing so far this year.
Going by the daily BDAR statistics more homes are being sold than listed, however the number of new listings is increasing and we should shortly see an increasing inventory again.
One thing is for certain, real estate markets at the local level are never as predictable as the national media "experts" try to make it look. My own crystal ball and the behavior of the market tells me 2013 is going to see a healthy real estate market in the Barrie area. Look no further if you plan to buy or sell. I would like tell you about my purchase negotiating and marketing programs and how they can make and save you money.
