Keep your pipes from freezing during this cold New Jersey winter!!
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...It's cold out there. Albeit a little spoiled in North Jersey with relatively mild temperatures this winter but this week these freezing temps have me chilled to the bone!!

Unfortunately with freezing temps comes the scary thought of your pipes freezing. Here are two tips I read on Wilson Oil and Propane Facebook's page on how to keep your pipes from freezing:
1. A trickle of hot and cold water might be all it takes to keep your pipes from freezing. Let warm water drip overnight, preferably from a faucet on an outside wall.
2. Open cabinet doors to allow heat to get to un-insulated pipes under sinks and appliances near exterior walls.
I'm sure there are many other tips to share on how to keep your pipes from freezing and feel free to add them below but the idea is to prevent cold air from entering or to be able to warm the area where the cold air cannot be stopped from entering.
Hopefully nobody will have to deal with their pipes freezing and I'm certainly not a plumber but just trying to pass on some helpful information to keep your pipes from freezing.
