Do you remember a time when your parents or grandparents had a huge sedan? You know, the kind of car that could fit four people comfortably in the front seat. Well, times have certainly changed. Now we have cars so small that two people barely fit in the front seat. Trends have changed toward efficiency in the automotive industry and in other industries as well.

In the housing market, the architectural trends have changed over the last several years. Of course, that is because homebuyers have indicated changes in what they are looking for in a home. Have you any thoughts on how things have changed? Do you think people like bigger homes, larger lots, bigger kitchens, and smaller bathrooms?

Check out the infograhic below courtesy of the California Association of Realtors® to learn more about the changing architectural trends in the wacky world of real estate.

I think you can knock 30 grand off the price of a home without a garage, so it's cheaper to build. Plus, with a front porch, it makes up for the fact you have no freakin' back yard. Some of those homes have zero lot lines, and a front porch is the only way to communicate with your neighbors because there's no back fence to lean over.
