Well, 2013 is here, ready or not! This time of year we make all sorts of resolutions. Lose weight, clean out closets, read more books, spend more time with family, set business goals...and yes, spend more time in the garden. We love our garden, and last weekend the warm weather got us itching to get back to it.

We spend time during the winter months planning new garden beds, searching for new things to plant and pouring over the seed and gardening magazines, searching for the newest tools and gadgets to make gardening easier, whatever we might need to start all over again in the spring. 

Come fall, as the season nears its end, some resolutions are never met. But we are OK with that. Gardening is as much about the doing as it is about the results. We love the planning, the planting, the weeding, the staking, the picking, the canning and let's not forget, the eating! Don't get me wrong, we love to stand back and admire the results of our hard work, but like back when we were kids, we just love to dig and play in the dirt. It is great therapy.

Here is our simple resolution for 2013....     

We will spend more time in the garden.
