I recently had a recliner break. The frame broke. I knew the frame is under warranty, but labor to fix it isn’t. No problem. So loaded it up and took it back to the La-Z-Boy store to have it repaired.
To my shock….no one answered the warehouse doorbell. So had to go in to find out that they had no one in the warehouse…no one in the building to load or unload the chair…and was told the warehouseman only works 3 days a week. A furniture store that can’t load or unload furniture? Then I was told the warehouseman was getting ready to go on vacation, so it would be 4-5 weeks before he would even get a chance to look at the recliner. I would have to bring it back then. I DON’T THINK SO…
How does a furniture store stay in business if you can’t load a chair if someone buys one. You are open 7 days a week, but only can load a chair 3 of those days? You have no one to do repairs in a timely fashion? Did I mention La-Z-Boy?
Well, I Google up furniture repair in the Cedar Park area, and Furniture Medic popped up. So gave them call, and they said bring it in! I took it in around 4pm, they unloaded it… Gunnar seen the problem, quoted me a price. Told me it should be ready the next day. They called me at 2pm the next day and said it was ready to go! Less than 24 hours! They loaded it for me and I was on my way!
I saw some of the other projects they were working on, and I was very impressed. They have my business from now on, and I would recommend them to anyone who needs furniture repairs.
Yes, letters were sent to the Corporate office of La-Z-Boy…and we won’t be buying from then again.
