I just love a perfect blue sky day in Cary. With a few pine trees, and a pretty house, a fellow can run down a camera battery in no time.
It is even more fun with my new camera. I bought a Kodak P880, for the 8 megapixels, the zoom lens, but particularly the 24mm wide-angle ability of lens. The wide-angle is great for interiors, but also for shooting large homes from the curb. I can stay close and get the entire home in the frame.
My 1 gigabyte SD card will hold up to 320 photos. Enough that I need to pick up a back up battery or two. At least the proprietary battery is Li-Ion and will hold the charge sitting in the camera bag.
Today the sky was a perfectly clear Carolina Blue. I slipped out and shot about 180 photos in a few north Cary neighborhoods. That blue sky was breath-taking, and several times after going around a corner I had to stop and back up, or walk back the street to catch a nice shot.
The photos are uploaded to Flickr and tagged already, and make fine slide shows.
The other day I popped into:
I am determined to offer folks as much content as possible when they come to see me. Now I have posted over 3,000 photos on Flickr, and over 7200 views. What an easy way to introduce people to Cary, North Carolina!
