Why Do People Live Here?

Shortridge is an idyllic neighborhood located in the heart of Wynnewood, Pa.  Bounded by Lancaster Avenue to the south, Remington Road and S. Bowman Avenue to the east, E Wynnewood Road to the north and Clover Hill Road to the west, the focal point of this neighborhood is Shortridge Memorial Park.  A beautiful stream (Indian Creek) runs through the park’s 12 acres. The park’s long, open fields has trees lining each side and is ideal for tossing a ball around or just relaxing in the sunshine. People love to take their dogs to the “doggie section” to let them romp around. The park is preserved by Lower Merion Township and local residents.  Shortridge has its own active civic association which organizes several block parties and community events throughout the year.  Shortridge is an old time community where neighbors know and look out for one another.
