Southern Hills is a suburban neighborhood in the southern part of Denver Colorado.This area is very close to Denver
University Campus and Downtown Denver with easy access to I-25 and Cherry Creek.Homes in Southern Hills are mostly single family, contemporary ranch style and range in price from the mid 300’s to the mid 600’s.
Schools for the Southern Hills neighborhood are Slavens K-8, Merrill Middle, and Thomas Jefferson High; all are included in the Denver Public School District.
Even though the neighborhood is close to the busy city life, Southern Hills is able to maintain a quiet and tranquil
feel.
There are two parks in close proximity to the neighborhood both providing access to long walking paths.The first, Robert, H. McWilliams Park, has a very large playground, picnic tables, basketball courts and a large open field. The second, Eisenhower Park, connects to the Eisenhower Recreation Center.This park houses several tennis courts, baseball fields and an outdoor pool within the Recreation Center. Just across University Boulevard from Eisenhower Park is the Wellshire Golf Course.
A five minute drive from Southern Hills is the Denver Art District on Sante Fe Boulevard.This community centers around the creativity of local artists and art students. Featuring many gallery showings, classes, workshops and exhibits several times a week.During the summer and fall months, the Denver Art District hosts a community event known as First Friday. This event hosts local art organizations that come together to celebrate the different forms and varieties of art in this unique street festival.
