The Katy Texas Real Estate Market here is now definitely a Seller’s market. Inventory levels are low, there are many buyers all looking at the same small inventory levels and prices are going up. I am finding some of the Realtors in Katy understand what this means and have adjusted their negotiating strategy accordingly. This makes my job easier but the salient problem is that buyers still have not grasped what is happening in this market.
Buyers still have this unrealistic expectation of builders granting large discounts off of the published home price. They also have the idea that they can continuously negotiate for price reductions and additional options right up to the day of closing. So sorry but this is not the case! Thanks to all the realtors that get the new market!
