I was in Washington DC last week for a very short trip. I will write another blog about the purpose of my trip. We went to the Newsmuseum in DC. It is one of the best museums. I have ever been to and I have been to more than my share of museums.
There is a section of the Berlin Wall as shown here:
They also have the infamous Watergate Door, the lunch counter that started the Civil Rights movement, numerous cartoons. Within the museum there are live studios .Here is a shot from the one which George Stephanopoulos on ABC uses with the Capitol behind him.
They also have a 9/11 exhibit which houses the broadcast antenna which stood atop the North Tower of the World Trade Center. The exhibit is terrific it brought tears to my eyes remembering all that lost their lives and how our lives were changed forever.
There is an exhibit on the FBI how they on G-men and how they fought terrorism before and after 9/11. One on Presidential campaigns; there are many theatres to see different clips.
I could go on and on but you need to go see if for yourself!
