This weekend was the Soccer I-10 shoot out! It looks like the Lady Mustangs from Taylor High School won the tournament. It seems that they will be the team to beat this year. In the 1st two rounds of the tournament they outscored the opposing teams 11-0 no small feat in soccer at any level.
The final game of the tournament between the Lady Mustangs and the Lady Wildcats from Cy Woods was a nail biter. The Lady Mustangs took a 1-0 halftime lead even though they were missing 2 defenders. In the 2nd half the net was never found again by the Lady Mustangs but the Wildcats tied the game and forced the finale into penalty kicks. The Lady Wildcats were leading 3 kicks to 2 when Kiblawi tied the game and forced a sixth person to kick and the Lady Mustangs converted and won the tournament.
