The annual orchid show has begun and runs through March 10, 2013.

This year they have added a new dimension to presenting the many beautiful types of orchids. They are presenting them as art by framing them or displaying them on pedestals as sculpture. They have chosen over 5000 of their best orchids for display. It will be a treat to your senses.

It will definitely be bringing together art and orchids at Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens in Belmont, NC.

The garden is open 9 to 5 p.m. seven days a week.

This is such a beautiful garden, so make plans and enjoy a wonderful afternoon with the beauty of mother nature.

The colors and designs that have been bred into orchids is amazing. And they say they are much easier to grow. I have never tried but my nother has over the years.
