Need a little respite from the deep freeze? Late last August, Front Porch Interiors was hired to stage a photoshoot for one of the top composite decking manufacturers in the country, TimberTech. What a blast from the past. In my former Ad Agency career, I often enjoyed working on sets with photographers, photostylists, and model agencies to capture just the right lifestyle shot for dozens of corporate 500 product catalogs and marketing brochures.
TimberTech had completed all of their new catalog product photography for 2013, but wanted to squeeze one last twilight shoot in.
Take a look at these before shots as TimberTech’s experienced crew built this massive, multi-tiered, multi-functional deck within a week.
Could be different in your neck of the woods, but late August is considered the end of Colorado’s summer season and outdoor leisure furniture is clearanced to make room for Halloween, of course.
Thrilled for the opportunity, but challenged to source enough stylish and cohesive-looking pieces for four seating groupings, it was a week of hair raising, mad haberdashery. Thankfully, my skillful assistant Lisa Mullins, is completely at ease under pressure even while making the crew a mean margarita. :)
It was all good. Thanks to Mike Lloyd, Christy Sports retail manager, who very generously loaned us these furniture ensembles.
Lisa and I pulled current and colorful inventory from Front Porch Interiors worthy of a fiesta.
Here’s the centerfold spread of this year’s, newly released catalog… a gorgeous twilight shot highlighting TimberTech’s DeckLites. Courtesy of the highly talented Colorado lifestyle photographer, Neil Podoll.
Many thanks and respect to TimberTech’s Marketing team, Cheryl Rose and Jennifer Beal as well as homeowner and Sales Manager, Brad Cheatwood. Front Porch Interiors appreciated the opportunity.
As I’m looking out my window at the Colorado snowfall, I’ll take a quick respite back to the dog days of summer and pretend that’s me hanging out with friends for happy hour.
