Pat's Cafe, North Beach, San FranciscoLocated in a quiet block of Taylor Street, just off Columbus Avenue and the heart of San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood, you'll find Pat's Cafe. Pat's has been in this location at 2330 Taylor Street for 10 years now.

Pat's Cafe is one of those warm, friendly, unpretentious places where you are instantly made to feel welcome while you enjoy a great breakfast or lunch. The food is hearty and good, the wait staff is friendly and efficient, and Pat is usually on hand to great you and make sure all is well. An added attraction are the photos and paintings on the wall, done by local artists and offered for sale.

Pat's Cafe reference, Tom Clancy, "Dead or Alive"You won't be the first person to "discover" this gem; Tom Clancy must have stumbled in or directed to it -- he referenced it in his best-seller, Dead or Alive

Pat is a woman of many talents; in addition to knowing exactly what neighbors want and need in a cafe, she's an awesome photographer of local sites -- look for her photos among those on display.

weekend brunch at Pat's Cafe, SFIn an industry with high turnover and many failures, Pat's Cafe seems to be here to stay, and that's fine with us! One of our special Saturday morning delights is to walk over Russian Hill via streets and staircases, enjoy breakfast or lunch at Pat's, and then perhaps stroll over to the waterfront, Ghirardelli Square and Aquatic park before heading home.

When you're living your San Francisco dream be sure to get acquainted with Pat and Pat's Cafe - bound to help you feel right at home. If you're ready to find your home in San Francisco, let's talk.

Lottie,  I'll tell my son about Pat's Cafe.  He lives in Pacific Heights ... not sure how far North Beach is from there. I do know that from my son's perspective ... nothing is very far on foot or by cab!  This is a great shout out for Pat's Cafe.

Lottie - You always have the inside track on where to eat.  This cafe in North Beach sounds like another great place to have lunch and hang out where Tom Clancy has been!

Kathleen, definitely tell your son about Pat's Cafe (or send him a link to my post.) We live at Van Ness Avenue, and it's about a 15 minute walk for us up and over Russian Hill - lots of fun. I think he'll enjoy it.

Li, who knows when you might visit us here in San Francisco. Pat's Cafe is fun for visitors and locals alike.

Sussie - I really think you should plan a visit here!

Laura - it was lots of fun for Pat when a neighbor came in with Tom Clancy's book when she spotted a reference to Pat's Cafe. Local character is always appreciated. Stop in when you're down here.

Hi Lottie, Pat must have made quite an impression on Tom Clancy to end up in one of his books. Mr. Clancy is one of my favs so the next time I'm in SF I'll have to try and have breakfast there.
