Real Estate and the emergence of greatness. The proverbial Dog and Pony Show is over!

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker

I often think that like any profession, economy, life, or venture, everything has a cycle. Sooner or later the cycle is broken and a new one starts.

It is no mystery that in the last couple of years the Real Estate as well as other factors in the economy have had to step up to the plate in order to foster correction. The adjustment. A new playing field.

The same holds true with the brokers, salespeople, mortgage brokers, insurance companies, and more.

I have seen some of the best go, I have seen some that should go, go. I admire the tenacity that some people can endure, and the amazing amount of hope and desire, as well as conviction, we can maintain. This is a  business that often has smoking guns and magic mirrors involved. There truly has never been such a thing as a crystal ball, although if there was a web site for one for Realtors I am confident most of us would have sent off for one, and gazed upon it occasionally from our desk top.

I welcome the warm weather, but further I welcome the emergence a new market brings, and with the corrections, improvements, and the drawing of a new playing field. Some people were destined to go, and some of us, well, we rode the storm out, and it will not be too long until gentle breezes once again touch our business. I see it starting already. The people that I have made friends with on activerain, as well as all the other charming people, I tell you. Won't it be wonderful that we can comment on our great successes, our great customers and clients, and know that we are going through a truly historical time that will not be forgotten for some time. The thought of macaroni and cheese with milk just gets me smiling again!!

So I say to my colleges the dawn is upon us where we can be the professionals we have always been, the buyers can benefit from our knowledge, and we can open those doors for first time buyers and more. The amount of smiles that have been saved up will illuminate our entire Industry for a long time to come!!

Sincerely

Tom Braatz

Hey Tom,

Nice Tom!!  I was drawn in by the title, thinking I just might have a difference of opinion, and a healthy dialogue to get on.  We do need this positive attitude and all the dogs and ponies we can muster. No argument here!

It is all attitude! I thinkwe have our work cut out for us, but perhaps it can just make me focus just a little bit harder.

Thanks for the comment.

If what is happening in Central Florida is any indication of what is ahead...you are in for a great thaw and good season.   As long as prices remain favorable, the buyers are back.
