Donna - because of your excellent discription, I now know a HUD home is a 1 to 4 unit residential property acquired by HUD as a result of a foreclosure action on an FHA-insured mortgage. HUD becomes the property owner and offers it for sale to recover the loss on the foreclosure claim. Thanks for sharing you knowlege teaching those of us who wouldn't otherwise know what a HUD is!

Kevin~ All things being equal, there would be the opportunity for you to make more money, but that's not the case. The cost of living is higher, therefore prices are higher! I understand about not wanting to give up the Florida lifestyle, I'm not ready to give up CO either!

Bob~ Inventory in our market is low and that includes HUD homes, there are only a handful on the market.  I want to promote these homes because they are generally a good value and may be a good place to begin a home search.
