How many times have we read a good, or great Post and Bookmarked it to read later, or to actually "digest" later.....only to lose it with a ton of other Bookmarked Blogs? How many Blog Posts have you Bookmarked, and when was the last time you went in there to actually re-read the ones you've saved? I know that I have been bookmarking Posts since I started on Active Rain....and tonight was only the second time that I have gone back in to see these saved Posts.

Bookmarked Posts on Photos

Here are just a few examples of my approximately 100 Bookmarked Blog Posts:

How to Add Pictures in Your Blog Krystal Kraft....I've had this one downpat for quite awhile, but it still is useful for a blog to send to newer members that might not have seen it.

Photo Sizing Made Easy - Thanks To My Active Rain Search! by George Tallabas This Post gave me a program to resize photos....I've been using that program ever since, and indeed it's easy.

Me and My Tablet PC.................To the Melody of "Me and Bobby McGee" William Johnson......(8/9/07).I keep this one because it has a lot of good stuff in it....but I haven't even looked at it for months!

No Professional Home Inspection?! Celeste "Sally" Cheeseman last comment 7/23/07 Most of Sally's were Inspirational or written from the Heart.....and this one was one that was important and I liked the way it was written. I have others by Sally as well, but some of them are Members Only.

Do You Know the International Real Estate Market? Midori Miller-last comment (4/9/07) Midori discusses about International clients....and this post was perfect then, and now for anyone that has International clients. Funny to re-visit it, as we just got a referral for a condo in San Diego....so once the Seller decides to list....we can Market it overseas (we already sold property from Advertising overseas).

To Bookmark a Blog:

Just click the word Bookmarked under the Post....(by the red flag) This saves the Post for you, for whatever reason you might want it saved.
Posts are saved under Bookmarked Blogs on your Homepage (left hand side of page)
You can see when the last comment was made, or the Post was updated.

I think with over 100 Saved Posts that it is time for me to go in and see why I saved them in the first place, and start cleaning them out. I noticed a few of them, like the Insert Pictures Post, I don't need to save anymore, as I already learned the lesson:)

Yeah....I gotta go through some of mine and put them in a file or something.....it gets to be real long. Some of them I refer back to for the wonderful info....I love my bookmarks :)

I admit it, I am a hoarder....and Bookmarked posts have become part of my compulsion! Actually, I'm agree with Jill that a lot are tips that I have not had time to implement, or don't quite understand (yet)

Kathy, I've bookmarked a bunch of posts in my time here as well, and periodically go back to look them over. It would be nice to have a way to organize them a little better by category, or to have a place to put your own notes about them, since some are not necessarily easily identifiable just by the headline. I'd like to see a little space to put a remark "to self" so that I can note why I am bookmarking the post in the first place.

Jackie- So, you have a system? Do you save any of them after you read them?

Anona-No no do not tell me 20 hours.....that's why I saved them, so I had toime to read them all :) :) Hey, I see you are interested in International Real Estate....did you read Midoris' Post?

For some reason I told myself I wouldn't bookmark any blogs. In retrospect my reasoning was stoopid.

I'm somewhat of a neat freak I didn't want things cluttered up in a bookmark folder. Instead I carry around a little binder with relevant information that I've printed out over the year. If I came across a post I found relevant, I printed it out.

Anyway, I've been using the bookmark feature a lot lately! The fact is, it's a great resource!

Jill- I'm with you...in fact Krystal's Post on Inserting Pictures was one I originally saved for "later use". I have several tech ones that I didn't even know what the words meant when I saved them.......:)

Julie-Oh, learn something new every day, but I have to admit I don't save nearly as many as I used to.....I also agree it would be nice to have files in that file, then we could easily find our Bookmarked Specialties :)

Sally-Hey, I saved your Aloha Shirt one, a couple Inspirational ones....etc....and then when I was ready to Post this I saw a few were Members Only :( If you have any clout with the AR Guys...can you tell them to give us folders for our Bookmarked Folder (see Julie's comment) :)

Deborah-I would have to agree with the hoarder part...but if I never go back in then I don't know if I still need to learn something LOL I wish we had those folders for Organizing :)

Linda- I think I know what I'll be doing in my spare time this week-end :) Good for you for staying on top of everything :)

Kathy, I'm sure I have some that cover How To's that I've figured out, but some of my bookmarks are for inspiration. It might be how the post was laid out, what information was included in a market report that I want to use in one of my own. There are lots of reasons to save, but it sure would be nice to be able to organize them. Maybe that's on the AR list of things to do????

Brian-I love your ideas....folders and an area to make notes....hey do you think for our free Blogging Site that we could actually get all that stuff :)

Teri-I know what I will be doing this week-end, and it sounds like we both have about the same amount of reading to do :) Now we just have to figure out which one we want to keep, and which ones have to go :)

Ricardo-Sounds to me like the Binder was more work.....but then again you only had to do it once, and as an added bonus it is already Organized :) My question to you, is why now.....after all this time are you using this great resource?

Carole- I am still laughing at your comment....and I too Promised myself to go through them....:)

Lisa- I think your comment is the Number 1 response.....a way to Organize everything we've saved. I too have several Inspirational Posts that I just don't want to part with, so Organizing would be wonderful......

I am the same as you. I bookmark and forget. Occasionally I will be in need of something that I remember I once read about. It is then that I go back through the bookmarks. Most of my bookmarks are for tech tips.

Hi Fran- "A Reference Library".....I like that....do you need a Library Card to read them :) :) I hope all is well with you.......

Ginger-I have a lot of tech tips, but also a lot of "ideas"......things people have done that I thought was a great idea. Some are Inspirational and I loved what the person had to say.....but it seriously is time to start organizing.......

Kathy, I am guilty; I boomkmark them but I can't tell you the last time I was in there to see what I saved. I have a few times wanted to find a post though and went to my bookmarks and there it was. I did bookmark one today on wordpress blogs and I KNOW that I will be checking that one out as I am so confused.
