Do not buy a condo at the Ivanhoe Condos in Salt Lake City until you have read this. What you are about to read might change your mind.
Overview:
The Ivanhoe Condos in Salt Lake City used to be low income housing. Interesting side note, I once called child protective services on someone that lived there. This building was extensively remodeled back in 2008. Apparently, they spent $84,000 just doing the chemical peel on the exterior. Having been inside these apartments before they were converted to condos, I have to say that they did a nice job restoring the building. This place was a dump before it was renovated. Now it is one of the nicer condo communities in the area. Oh yeah, the address is 417 E 300 S (right across the street from Greek Souvlaki).

Let’s take a look at the good and the bad for the Ivanhoe Condos in SLC.
The Good:
The Ivanhoe Condos in Salt Lake City were updated in 2008 and it was very nicely done. The units generally look and feel very luxurious. The Victorian Era exterior is also very impressive. The Ivanhoe is, in my opinion, one of the best looking communities in the immediate area. Even though the gate is only 4 feet tall, I do like the fact that it is gated. If someone really wanted to (or even if they just kind of wanted to) they could still easily hop the fence, but at least it keeps out the unhealthy and/or unmotivated criminals.
The Bad:
I really don’t like the parking situation at the Ivanhoe Condos. If you have more than one car, this will be difficult. Also, it is nice that they have a place for the European style washer/dryer combo, but have you ever used one of those? They are great if you LOVE ironing.
