Wordless Wednesday the 1st snow of the Season in DC 2013

I was lucky enough to be in Washington DC last week for the 1st snow of the season. To me it was perfect timing it was after all the inauguration. I do not like big crowds I like to travel off-season 1) to avoid the crowds and most importantly hotel rooms are less expensive and you can dicker at bit. Here are some shots I took of the snow. Early in the morning it was really coming down. DC is a great place to visit and I am sure live never a dull moment!

I'm surprised it was DC's first big snow this year.  Oh but what we'd do to get a big snow!  I'm sure it's a jumping place to be and you had a great time.  Oddly enough DC has never been on my bucket list.  Maybe I should rethink that.

I'm not a big fan of snow, so I am happy to have missed out of this one. I prefer to just see it in pictures. :)

Hi Yolanda,

Great pictures and how lucky to be there for the snow. My daughter was there for the inauguration but had gone home to find snow there when the chill hit the east coast. I am so glad it was fairly warm on January 21st.

Last night I saw they put sandbags in front of the capitol due to expected rain today.

Good evening Yolanda.

We are experiencing very strong winds in New York.

We might get some snow tomorrow.

Yolanda, glad you had an opportunity to visit our neck of the woods. DC offers a lot of beauty year around but the first snowfall is always special. Thanks for sharing.
