Good afternoon! I'm writing from a dreary and rainy Seattle!
It's always heartening when a small and locally owned business appears to be getting it. Citizen Coffee in Seattle is Another Gem! For now, I live just up the way and it's fun to stop at Citizen Coffee when I have time.
One thing I've noticed about Citizen Coffee is their level of service is high. I am always asked how I am. Beyond that they have created a breakfast lunch and dinner menu that invites. Located in a non-descript older building on Taylor Ave. N in Seattle, Citizen Coffee offers a number of great breakfast items including crepes. I recently had their oatmeal and it was great.
Fast forward to lunch and dinner and you have your choice among hearty sandwiches or even a glass of wine or beer. The building itself has been transformed into a cozy eatery with seating upstairs or down. One thing I've noticed is they have carved out a neighborhood following and always seem to be busy.
I think Citizen Coffee is a tranquil oasis from most corporate coffee shops (sorry Starbucks!). After all, who isn't rooting for the little guy! If you're in Seattle, give Citizen coffee a try. You won't be disappointed. Oh, by the way, their coffee is pretty darn good! Have a great day!
