December 2012 Home Sales Information Compared to December 2011
The following real estate market information concerns only residential sales in greater Champaign County, IL and includes houses, condos, co-ops, and zerolots
December 2012 Closed Home Sales:
- 185 units sold
- $135,168 average sale price
- 94.9% sale-to-list price ratio
- 93 average days on the market
December 2011 Closed Home Sales:
- 166 units sold
- $129,592 average sale price
- 95.2% sale-to-list price ratio
- 126 average days on the market
What's going on in the Champaign County, IL real estate market?
Total residential sales were up in Champaign County for December 2012 compared to December 2011, average sale price was up, the sale-to-list price ratio was up, and the "days on the market" was down. What does this translate to? A pretty great end to the year :-) The absorption rate held steady at just under 10 months and I'll be curious to see what it looks like for January and February as those two months have typically been when the absorption rate has skyrocketed in the past. We'll see!
