Are We Back in Kanas Yet and Where the Heck is Toto - Real Estate in 2013 - What can we expect?
One can compare our adventures in real estate over these past years as an adventure not unlike Dorothy's adventures in the Wizard of Oz. Surreal is perhaps too strong of a word but then again, I can find examples that lend themselves to a fit for the word.
The Real Estate Wild Ride:
We all just want to get back to normal and some level of confidence in the future. The question is will it ever happen. The nature of change has us adapting and as we evolve and the process of adaptation occurs, the surreal becomes the new normal. The younger generations have never known the ability to do those simpler things in life. Technology came along and it all went rather askew. Growing natural foods on small farms went away to make room for Corporations to take over the farming Industry and to apply technology to the numbers game rather than a way of life that supported Community. The result is so sad and daunting that we will leave it for another day when we are stronger. Our discussion today moves in the direction of personal choices going forward and the inner beauty of each person to make a difference in how they live their lives.
Finding Normal:
As a Realtor, I have my attention on the markets and a global awareness of how our lifestyles create the need for homes. I have seen changes in what my clients goals are and it encourages me. We are moving away from the Consumerism that cripples our personal economy. I know the story we hear is that this Consumerism is the basis of a strong global Economy. My point is that it also keeps the working man a slave to his debt and feeds the banks (global economy).
Making Choices that Matter:
Here is where personal choice and lifestyles can play such an important role. Our economy is based on owing money to the banks. What if we change that and become more self-sufficient in our lifestyles. We stop buying more house than we can afford and we endeavor to pay off our debts. Why not buy conservatively and pay off your 30 year mortgage in 15. Owning you home is not in the equation for the global economy. Words like conspiracy are hard for me to use but the reality is that the model would support that premise. This ridiculous consumer-based economy counts on you never owning your own home. Let's change that!
Taking back you own power:
Our universe is a wondrous place and offers us so much when we take the time to look and to find. It is rather like reading a good book that holds those mysteries of life and each time you read the book, more is revealed.
We truly create what we are and how we look at the world. 90% of what we do is performed from the subconscious and by rote. We know this activity so well that it does not require our conscious mind. The Conscious Mind can create anything and when we bring forward that Conscious Mind, we are engage fully and have that ability to live and create anything. Love is created and experienced from the Conscious Mind. As we experience that immense power of love for all things, we see the world differently and with huge compassion for all things. Use your creative, conscious mind to craft out a lifestyle that brings simplicity and power to you. You can become self-sufficient and debt free.
We can take back our freedom and stop what the large corporations have taken from us, simply by controling our debt and what we buy. What a powerful statement!
