I had the pleasure to spend an evening at the Ronald McDonald House with twenty other agents from our Coldwell Banker Highland Park IL office ~ preparing and serving dinner and mingling with families who call the Ronald McDonald House their home while their children are in the hospital or are in between medical procedures.
Our group donated the meal, prepared and served the families who are staying at the House. We also brought many toys to be donated to the toy closet - a huge closet filled with toys and stuffed animals.
This facility is amazing - it provides an opportunity for those near and far a place to call home. I personally spoke with a parent from Hong Kong, a young boy who had a transplant, a family from Canada whose child is in between procedures and many others.
It was a very lovely and humbling experience an evening enjoyed by all!
